I love the topic and listened to the beginning; however, I stopped once I heard that Ana is not a post-menopausal woman herself? Did I hear that correctly?
There is a very clear part of me that chooses to receive post-menopausal input or guidance only from women who are themselves initiated. It is one thing to perceive the terrain ahead, yet as women who've lived through it consciously know, the map is not the territory. It's a whole different ballgame once you're living in it and through it. Curious if that resonates with you, Marcella, or other women here.
That's an interesting perspective, Erin, thanks for bringing it up. It did cross my mind for a fleeting moment and then disappeared--perhaps because, as I mentioned, my menopause was an absolute non-event. And I mean--nothing happened. My bleeding went irregular for a few years and then one day was gone. I'm sure I don't give enough gravitas to other women's arduous passages. In any case, I was super-impressed by Ana's wisdom and thought it was a great convo about the arc of feminine sexuality. I'm sorry it didn't jibe with you, thanks for letting us know.
I gave up Church to stay home on a snowy day and listen to this, but in fact, you guys both had me go to church!!! Thanks for this timely and timeless wisdom looking forward to delving into it deeper.

Thank you, Marcella! I'm aware it is just one perspective and am open to exploring possibilities. 😊
